2017 Track Friday is giving our family the opportunity to incorporate all of my favorite to do in the Fall like fall foliage watching, outdoors exercising and support any cause dear to our hearts. 2017 Track Friday is a national movement on the day after Thanksgiving to turn Black Friday into a day focused on Charity, Community, and Health.
Every year, a flagship “Track Meet-up” takes place in Middletown, New Jersey, coordinated by the founders of the original Track Friday in 2012. Track Friday has now become a national movement, with events forming in towns across the country and even more runners participating virtually.
Trumbull is proud to be the first and only Meet-Up in Connecticut since 2015. H4Fitness and The Town of Trumbull Parks & Recreation department host the event at the Trumbull High School Track. 2017 Track Friday will be November 24th from 9am to 12pm at 72 Strobel Road. Trumbull, CT.
On Track Friday, participants everywhere become personal advocates for causes they care about by heading out for a run or walk at a local track, park or running path, and making a donation NOW of any amount to any charity.
Participants donate to any charity listed on the Leaderboard or click JOIN THE TEAM to add their own 501c3, then join others to run or walk any distance . Participants can also create their own fundraising campaign to bring awareness to their favorite cause, or support one that already exists. Since 2012, over 100 charities have benefited from the efforts of Track Friday participants.
When we found out that our girls’ Track coach last was leading 2017 Track Friday in Trumbull, we had to support any way we could. For more information about 2017 Track Friday, please contact Heidi or go to Track Friday official website. Donations of any amount to any charity are NOW accepted and very much appreciated! There is power in unity so join our family and together let’s turn Black Friday into a day focused on Charity, Community, and Health!
